Meet Connor! Just 6 days new at his session and so alert and strong! It always shocks me how strong a newborn can be. He was no exception and was full of newborn squeaks and sweet little expressions. His big sister was so proud and happy to cuddle with her little brother. It was a fun morning and I'm excited to share my favorites from this session. Welcome to the world, Connor. We're happy to have you!

Deeann is Two! I can't believe this beautiful little girl is already two! I know I feel that way about all of the kids that I photograph from birth, but it's true. Time just goes by so fast! I love two year old sessions because their little personality always shines, they are becoming a little kid, but usually still have a few baby features. Like big, squishy cheeks! Or in my case you never grow out of that. I had a great time with this sweet family on the west side on this warm and windy day! Here are a few of my favorites from this session. I'm testing out a new layout for the blog. You can click on any image to see the full image. The collage is supposed to help with load time, especially on mobile devices. We'll see!
This sweet family will be welcoming a baby boy in just weeks! We recently met up for their family maternity session and their baby girl definitely stole the show. She was adorable and we had fun as she twirled, jumped, giggled and ran through the park. I can’t wait to see her with her new brother! Here are a few of my favorites from their session.
Two weeks ago I got to photograph Olivia’s birth and last week I photographed her fresh newborn cuteness. Goodness this is one beautiful baby! She was so sweet and I’d say she was a fan of the camera. ;-) Her handsome big brother adores her and I think she’ll feel the same way about him! I had such a fun time with this family! Here are some of my favorites from Olivia’s newborn session.

Olivia was due on the 17th and we all know how due dates go, but this Mama knew her baby girl would be early and she was right! I got the call around midnight. Jen was in labor, around 7 cm and they were ready for me to meet them at the hospital. I walked into their room not sure what to expect, but found Jen smiling and laughing, eating potato chips and joking with her husband and sister. For a second I thought maybe she had gotten an epidural, but then a contraction came and my question was immediately answered. She had not and she was powering through. This strong Mama delivered her baby girl late in the afternoon. It was unpredictable as most labors are and incredibly emotional. I cried, as I usually do, but tried really hard to keep it in. Births and Father/Daughter dances get me every time these days. Thank you to this lovely couple for inviting me back (you can see the birth of their son here) and trusting me to capture Olivia's arrival into this big world. I can’t wait to see these kids grow up! I also agree with their midwife, McCoy baby number three in 2018. No pressure, but you sure make adorable babies. ;-)
Here are some of my favorites from this birth story, which Pat & Jen have graciously allowed me to share. You can see more in the video at the bottom of this blog post. As always, the video does document a birth, but is not graphic and is modest.
